Swami explains with an example.
"Cloth cannot be formed without yarn, right? Yarn is essential for cloth. In fact, it is all yarn. In spite of this, yarn is not spoken of as cloth, and cloth is not called yarn.

This is exactly the relationship, between nature (prakriti) and Supreme Atma (Param-atma). Supreme Atma is the yarn of which the cloth, nature, is formed.'
He often takes His Handkerchief , holds it and then explains the above example, by explaining that the kerchief is but a combination of threads and the threads are but yarns.
Similarly, We are the yarn (The SELF, the GOD, the ATMAN) and with the energy / strength / Chaitanya of the yarn, we have come on this earth with a body (the cloth made out of yarn).
But since we see ourselves as this body (the cloth), we fail to recognize that we are in fact the Yarn.
This is exactly like the post with shadow looks so realistic like a ghost that we recognize it only as a ghost and fail to come to the reality that it is a post!!!!
What is the solution???

"If you see it right, the delusion will vanish; the fear will disappear. The faith that it is the Supreme Atma will be firmly and boldly established in you.

To get that firmness, the lamp of discrimination (viveka) is necessary. How much a person suffers as long as the rope is seen as a snake!
How much is the fear! The delusion! Can it be realised how all that vanished as soon as it was seen in the light? Similarly, these doubts and delusions will also vanish unawares, as soon as you know that nature is Supreme Atma. "

This viveka can be awakened either by holding on to the feet of a Guru in the path of Jnana or by surrendering ourselves totally to God in the path of Bhakti!!!!
All the super impositions and the fear borne out of the same are due to our Ego!!!
The ONLY purpose of Human birth is to annihilate our EGO and upon Annihilation of our Ego, we become one with God , we attain Self Realization!!!
