ALL YOU WANT IS TO BE HAPPY

Dear Ones,

Yet another flow from the sanctum sanctorum, Puttaparthi.

The above inspiring quote summarizes the essence of at least 3 to 4 posts under the theme " Purpose of Human Birth" where, search for happiness was dealt in detail.

Yes, it is 100% true that each and every human being, no matter where he is born, whether a king or a beggar, aspires  or rather lives, only with one aim- " TO BE HAPPY".

The desire for being happy is not actually bad, as the master says in the above quote.

But the desire should be to " BE HAPPY ETERNALLY", which is to be ' TRUELY AND EVER LASTING HAPPY" as mentioned in the above quote.

Where does a man go wrong in pursuing his desires for being happy??

While he wants to be permanently happy, today, tomorrow, this year, next year and all his last breath, the major mistake that he does is- He pursues all those things in life which can give him only limited happiness , for one day, one month, one year or few years.

The money, the power, the relationships, property, fame, entertainments, job / career enrichment are few of them. You can include many other things in the list , which we pursue for getting happiness.

You may be surprised to know that without understanding the true purpose of any devotional practice, even the satisfaction derived from devotional practice/ rituals are but just happiness which is not ever lasting!

While there is no issue in pursuing these things,  we must understand one thing crystal clear today. All these things can give us happiness for some time, in different phase of life.

So, even while pursuing the above, we must be clear that these cannot give us ever lasting happiness.

There are 2 things - one is NIJAM and another is SATHYAM.

NIJAM

All the above things listed are to be understood as NIJAM, i.e,  True/ fact, with respect to a particular phase in our life.

To make it more clear, a boy is madly in love with a girl. The boy thinks that she / his love for her, is the only truth in his life, whereas that love is NIJAM, true in his phase as boy , in his adolescence.

Will he keep loving  the girl for entire life and also, will that love continue to give him same happiness till his death , as it gave him on the first day he expressed his love n the girl accepted his love ?. Never.

SATHYAM

Whereas, eternal love for God attained after single pointed devotion - only that love has the potency and power to give you ever lasting happiness. This love of God is SATHYAM.

NIJAM is relative happiness, in a particular phase in life whereas SATHYAM is God realization / God's love , which is eternal TRUTH.

While there is no rule/ restriction that one should not pursue all things in our life which are NIJAM, one has to be very clear that these pursuits are not going to give them eternal happiness.

Temporary  satisfaction on fulfillment of a desire is HAPPINESS whereas eternal  joy of God realization is BLISS.

Choice is ours. We want temporary happiness or ever lasting Ananda/ Bliss?

Sunlight - pure surface of water/ mirror

Divyatman,

This post/ pour flows from the abode of peace, prashanti nilayam, straight after the morning bhajan.

Today's quote is reproduced below.

What does the realized master, Rama Krishna, convey through this quote??

God/ Source is the sunlight, whose grace ( like the heat of sunlight) illumines every living and non living matter on the earth, impartially and totally.

Swami or any incarnation, descended for the welfare off the entire humanity belonging to all countries, all race, all religion, all caste, like the sun light illumining all.

Imagine Swami floating through the SK Hall, casting his cool grace full rays on each and every one seated in the hall. On the one side is seated a saint, Swami Karunyananda and on the other side is seated an extremist from southern India, who had a knife with him, ready to Kill Swami.

For Swami, can there be any difference between Karunyananda Swami and the extremist? ( Swami goes straight to the extremist, blesses him and says, come on, complete the work / mission for which you are here. Need less to say, the extremist turned to extreme devotee that day. Again, this has been told by the very same extremist turned devotee to the author. Author reserves the name of that person)

God, as learnt in the first theme posts on purpose of human birth, makes each and every one as his own perfect image.

Why then is it that some of us evolve spiritually whereas most of us are not able to evolve??

It is the quality of the mirror, the  level to which the surface of the water is without any ripple, that the sun rays fall on them fully.

Similarly, when God's grace is showered on us equally, it is our mind, the extent to which it is pure or changeless or without disturbance that the Grace is captured by that mind.

A river/ pot with rough surface of muddy water cannot receive the sun rays as it is and even the sun rays falling on such muddy water may appear to be scattered/ disturbed.

When the devotee sings " Mere Hridaya mein baaso re Sairama", Swami turns back and questions, " You want me to come and stay in your heart?? I am ready,  but just look at your heart, how dirty is it. Would you want Swami to live there???

We have to purify our heart through sadhana so that Lord/ Lord's teachings given to you by the author/ any other person, is received as it is, without any disturbance, without any coloring of Raga/ Dvesha or coloring of your own vasanas( impressions).

Swami's main purpose of descending on earth being " paritranaya Sadhunaam", gives us umpteen number of opportunities, makes us attend various discourses, Study circles,  read Swami's teachings, all these blog posts, so many other teachings, but  only and only difference between the one who evolves and the other one who says " I am reading everything, it is so nice to read/ listen but some how, I am not able to practice the same" is- THE LEVEL OF PURITY OF OUR MIND- THE QUALITY OF OUR MIRROR MIND, THE QUALITY OF OUR  MIND RIVER WITHOUT RIPPLES OF OUR OWN ATTACHMENT/ HATRED ETC. !!

Swami once, while signing the monthly cheque for few lacs for the university expenses, told Late Sri Mohan Rao,(This was told by Mohan Rao himself to the author) , " See, Mohan, how much I am spending for my students, but these students, when they go out of this university, or even when I am away for some time, get distracted and do not follow Swami's teachings".

Dear Ones,

This is the golden age where Sakshaat Narayan moved amongst us, talked to us, gave us darshan, sparshan, sambashan and all the grace up to 2011 in physical form and even after that, in subtle formless divinity , as pure consciousness in our prayers and meditation.

If we do not transform NOW and HERE, then when will we transform????

Remember, this call is coming from Parthi, none of the words in this post is from Sathya, this is straight from the lord, flowing through this instrument sathya.

Love
