Adi Shankara

Dear All,

Retracing from Gross to subtle to subtler and subtlest was dealt with in the last creation posts.

Bhagawad pada Sri Adi sankara  conveys in his above  lines the following important truth.

In spiritual path, even after undertaking intense sadhana for years or even births together, even after getting glimpses of "THE INNER EXPERIENCE", there is a great possibility that the subtlest association with one's Ego may still remain. The most subtlest of the ego is Ignorance of the truth that one is verily divine, verily the same spirit which is beyond all manifest creation and even the unmanifest Iswara.

Till the time this ignorance is there within, a sadhaka may slip even from the penultimate stage in his Self realization.

One's duty as sadhaka is to "constantly identify one self with non-dual SELF, where there is no duality between the sadhaka and the goal, which is SELF or Pure consciousness.

After the sadhaka sincerely pursues the above state (non-dual SELF), all that the sadhaka can do is to lead a life with that pursuit moment to moment, leaving the almighty God to give His helping hand to lift the sadhaka to His highest abode, Prashanti, ever lasting peace / bliss.

The beauty, which can only be experienced by a sincere sadhaka is that, in such a life with dedicated pursuit to reach the goal of realization of SELF, even the sense of waiting for the ultimate moment is not there, nor is there a burden / helplessness that the goal is still not reached!! In fact, this period of waiting in the penultimate stage is the most beautiful phase in a seeker's journey towards Self-Realisation!

Love.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Dear All,

Here, " faith" mentioned by the master above need not be taken as " blind faith" in God to the extent of shirking one's duties and responsibilities and sitting quiet and saying God will take care of everything.

Any spiritual quote/ any teachings of any master can easily be twisted by our so called perverted mind to suit our attitude.

What it means, in real spiritual sense, is given below.

1) Belief/ faith/ conviction on the existence of one supreme SELF which is beyond the manifest creation, even beyond the unmanifest God ( if one can rise to this level) which is cause less, birth less and hence death less, motion less, change less PURE EXISTENCE.

2) Belief / faith in our shruthis, our scriptures which say " THAT THOUGH ART" - " TAT TWAM ASI", i.e., I am verily that SELF beyond manifest and unmanifest.

3) AT the end, to have unshakable conviction to evolve spiritually in our life so as to march, step by step, towards realizing the above point no 2  and thereby, existing ultimately as per point no 1.

A life led thus, is a life of  greatest strength!

Love

Jiddu Krishnamurti

Dear All,

By now, we all must be clear atleast as to what we mean by     " TRUTH".

The truth is the " highest goal", the attainment of " God", the "realization of SELF", any one of these which you may refer to, all the three meaning same!

This " God realization" is a goal which cannot be brought down to a lesser level of " little experiences which come and go'.

It is we who have to rise above all our limitations caused by our little ego, to reach to the Goal.

As the author had mentioned in one of the earlier posts, we leave no stone unturned for all our normal goals/ wants which change from time to time.

If that be the case, how much efforts we have to make, what all hurdles we must cross, what all trouble we have to go through and cross, if we have to attain the highest  goal of SELF or God realization?!!

Think....
