Further on "Why we should know about creation?"

Dear All,

Daily, after the post is scheduled, the author reads the post in the morning not as the author himself but as a normal reader who is fully engrossed in this material world and is not 100% focused on these spiritual aspects.

Thus, after reading today's post as a normal reader, it comes from within that the relevance of knowing about creation needs to be explained further and hence, this post.

1) If we are clear from  day 1 of our first birth that we are divine, then there is no chance of our perceiving about ourselves as an Individual, with Ego, with Mind.

2) How ever, if  we had realized that we are God in the first instance, we would not have undergone several births and deaths, we would not have carried karma in this birth for which we are suffering or enjoying.

3) So, on getting  up in the morning, we are very much aware that we are an individual, so and so, son/daughter of so and so, living in such and such place, working in such and such company, having so and so children.... So and so forth.

4) Here, in the above 3rd Point, we have to observe one thing. All the identity or most of the identity that we are perceiving, except the identity that I am so and so,  are born out of our association with various other individuals/object in this world.

5) To make it further clear, suppose we are alone in an island with no other object or human being at all, then would we be thinking much of our identity? We would be just roaming around, plucking fruits from trees, eating, then sleeping and just existing like that. We would neither think about the world nor about the creator of this world.

6)So, we are clear about one thing. Our Identity, our ego is relevant only in the context of the society, the world and its beings, otherwise, there is no need or relevance for us to think any thing about us other than knowing that we are having a body and we are existing. In an Island, living alone, even our name has no relevance.

7) So, the point driven here is "OUR EGO HAS IMPORTANCE ONLY IN THE CONTEXT OF THIS CREATION AND ITS OBJECTS".

8) Thus the world or creation has become important for our ego.

9) Next thing that assumes importance is " Who created me and this world"?

Recently, one of the devotees asked the author to record Bhava nasha Bhajan and send it to her.

In the Bhajan, there is a line "Mohana kara mana moha vinasha".

MOHANA KARA

Thus, in the context of our ego, we need to know first ( to like, to develop liking, mohana kara), why we are developing this ego, with connection to whom are we having this ego identity, how all these beings have come up in this creation, in connection to whom we are having this ego and ultimately, why and how this creation has come up at all?

MANA MOHA VINASHA

Ultimately, as a Tamil saint said, " Even theft has to be learnt and then given up," the purpose of human birth and spiritual sadhana is to renounce everything, to give up everything . In this giving up process, ultimately the knowledge of this universe, the concept of creation of this universe, the concept of creator or Iswara and lastly, the concept of ourselves, we the individual with this body, this mind, this intellect, these impressions, even this identity has to leave us for us to sing " AHAM NIRVIKALPO NIRAKARA ROOPAH..........  SHIVOHAM SHIVOHAM".

This giving up of creator, created, creation and our jiva hood, our ego is MOHA VINASHA(Annihilation of all attachments, all delusions)!

Praying to Sai that with this post, the relevance of creation is clear to all the readers, in what ever level they are in their spiritual  Journey.

Creation of the Universe - Part 1

WHY WE HAVE TO KNOW ABOUT CREATION OF THIS UNIVERSE

Dear All,

When one gets up in the morning from deep sleep, the first thing he ever recognizes is he, the Jiva, a human being, apart from God.

Then, the second thing he recognizes is the creation in which he the  jiva is living. If there is no universe at all, then there is no relevance of his identity as jiva. He will then be Jiva for whom?? For what purpose?

Then, comes his link with Iswara when he thinks, who is the one who has created me and this universe.

Jiva

From the Purpose of Human Birth theme up to the last post, we have been trying to learn only one thing.

That is about the divine nature of human beings.

No stone has been left unturned to understand from all the posts that Man is born divine, created by God as divine and at the end of his spiritual journey, he merges with God and exists as divine.

This pure existence of jiva is at absolute level. However, from a relative point of view, in between his first and the last birth, he happens to be living in this world and his living in this creation makes him undergo the roller coaster in life, accumulating karmas birth after births.

Jagat

The world appears to be real at the first glance, but on further analysis we find that it is not as real as it appears. And this is true with reference to everything. All that glitters is not gold. Sometimes we meet some people and think they are very friendly and loving, but on closer association we find it to be otherwise. Our emotions and perceptions of this world change.

Vedanta says that it is a fact that you experience this world, but it is not as real as it appears to be. So don’t get carried away by it. Appearances are deceptive. One must have a proper understanding of what is real and what is mere appearance.

Isvara

People have many concepts about God also. We may have many concepts about God, but God is not a concept.

It is the nature and habit of the mind to form images. We have an image of everything and being. In the world, we do not deal with people as they are, but only according to our images of what they are. We imagine and bring God to our level. An ant will always think of God as a big ant. Concepts bring God or Truth to our level.

When you drop them, the mind is raised to the level of God and the mind itself disappears. When the mind reaches the state of no-mind, there is no experience of duality of any kind.

Why we should know how universe was created?

Origin of the universe is of utmost importance. We cannot predict the future unless we know the past. We can formulate laws that govern the universe only if we know it's origin. And moreover, the ultimate purpose of every human life is to know the SELF. How can we achieve it without knowing our origin?

Thus, it is assumed that after going through various posts in the past few months, an urge has been developed within the readers to know all about the creation of universe, as it is only with reference to the Jagath or creation that the relative existence of a Jiva as a human (not divine from absolute stand point).

We shall now focus on the creation of this universe in all future posts.

Love.
