Surrender - Part 19

Loving all creations
 or
All beings absorb your love on their own?

In the following verse from Adi Sankara's Vivekachudamani, we will take only one expression to get deeper into the above question.

yat-kat'aksa-sasi-sandra-candrika-
pata-dhuta-bhava-tapaja-sramah
praptavan aham akhanda-vaibhav'
anandam atma-padam aksayam ksanat.

(O Guroo, like the cascade of moon beams, with Your grace absorbed, the weariness produced by the great heat of samsara for all the births vanished in a moment and with that, I have immediately attained my own true everlasting home, the abode of imperishable glory and bliss, the indestructible atman of infinite splendor.)

Trust him, the author lived, breathed, walked, slept, moved, meditated on this one expression from September 2010 till February 2011 to actually experience this Cascade of moon beams, then and for eternity!

2010, Parthi yatra, Swami comes in wheel chair, does not come near sathya, does not speak to sathya, does not give pada namaskar, does not create vibhuthi (whereas all these have been granted by Swami to him, umpteen no of times, from 1976 to 2009), but just glances at sathya - the cascade of moon beams – did they fall on sathya?? Ne…, sathya absorbed the cascade of moon beams himself!!!!

Swami knew that that one glance has to do a lot for His devotee because, in physical terms, that was to be the last glance, He knew that He would cast away His physical body on 24.4.2011!!

The entire interpretation of Jagata Udharana which came from within and included in Samarpan, is an outcome of the above cascade of moon beam (Sundara Nayanabi Ram...) absorbed by the devotee,. For that matter, even the expression "Raham Nazar" in the bhajan "Beda Paar Karo Mere Sai" finds its fulfillment in the same manner!!

What does the above mean, in the context of loving all, which is the subject we are dealing???

Once with single minded devotion, devotion evolves to supreme Love, then, in that state of existence as Love, one does not even deliberate/think/plan/contemplate to give Love to all.

Classic example, when Swami came in wheel chair, it is not as if Swami is thinking, seeing sathya, seeing every one gathered there and then showering Love to each one, one by one.

Sai's existence as Love (Love IS God, HE said), is like the cascade of moon beams. We the devotees, seated in Sai Kulwant Hall, dive, take dip/swim in the ocean of Love floating and walking/moving amongst us as Sathya Sai and we are soothed by the coolness of the cascade of (Love) beams that HE IS!!! And, each one of the 50,000 devotees gathered in the Sai Kulwant Hall, after diving and swimming in the cascade of Love that Sai IS, upon coming out of that swim, say- "Swami came only for me, Swami's glance was only on me, Swami's words were meant only for me".

Thus, once a devotee has discovered the very essence of Love that he himself is and exists as that Love, then, the very existence of Love that he is, spreads to all around, incessantly, spontaneously and naturally.

A realized yogi, in the path of devotion which is being dealt now, exists as Love. He need not deliberately go out and serve humanity with his mind.  His walk, His talk, His gestures, His words, His touch, His strictness and even His silence- Everything is just Love, Everything is just Compassion!

This has to be understood in the context of one truth that once he exists as Love, then there is neither  he, nor world, nor the human beings, nor the floras and faunas, nor living or non-living beings actually exist.

All that exists is – LOVE!!

Thus, the stage – supreme love for God and His creation, experiencing unity in all creation, is not a stage in spiritual sadhana but a state attained eternally and  thereafter , it is one's pure existence at that state, as LOVE.

In fact, the devotee turned God man, does not even live to realize the unity in all creation. His state  is like this:

Since diversity (as a thought for him) there is none,
there is  neither unity (as a thought for him);

Since unity there is none (as a thought for him),
diversity there is none (as a thought for him).

Love.
