Sri Sathya Sai Baba

“God is omnipresent. So do not act differently when you are away from My Presence. Be always and everywhere conscious of the presence. Be vigilant, even while engaged in little tasks. Maintain silence in the recesses of the heart, as well as outside. The Gita says, God’s hands and feet are everywhere.

You can hear His footfall only when no other sound hinders. God, out of His Infinite Grace, assumes the form that the devotee yearns for. He is purity. He is the supreme wisdom. He is ever free, ever-merciful. Develop the awareness of God, see him and serve him in every living being.”

Old people think of the past; the young ones think of the future, and both of them forget the present. This is the reason for all the sorrows and difficulties that man is faced with. This is not an ordinary present: this is omnipresent...

Radhanath Swami

The goal of life is to see God in all our daily dealings and activities.
But how do we see God?
If we are looking for him then we can see him. In remembering God, we see God internally.
This remembrance is not just a casual thought mixed with our selfish and material motives. It has to be in a mood of separation, a deep longing. Then we will be able to see him everywhere, in our heart, in others heart, in a leaf, a tree, a house, in everything.
Our physical eyes have a limitation to see, thus we see God internally through intensely remembering him in deep mood of love and separation.

Next Theme in Blog - BHAJA GOVINDAM

Dear All,

After we completed Rama Katha Rasa Vahini, there are only quotes of masters on DIVINE LOVE for few days now.

The quotes may still continue for few more days before we start with the next theme - BHAJA GOVINDAM.

Sri Shankaracharya  encountered an old teacher who was busy with memorizing the rules of Samskrit grammar in order to teach them to a few small boys.

The old Acharya was shivering and shaking due to the infirmity of age, yet he still carried on teaching. He was teaching the Dhatu Pada of Samskrit grammar.

The sight drew out the poet in Shankaracharya. He spontaneously broke out into song. Not that he began to sing – rather one can say he was ever the Song itself!

The original title of Bhaja Govindam is Moha Mudgara. Moha Mudgara means 'hammer to delusion'.

Just as in objective fields we only use a hammer when the work to be done is serious so too in a subjective field.

A casual awareness of the suffering delusion causes and so a casual effort to grow out of such a delusion will not work. We need to 'hammer' the delusion out of ourselves. Though painful initially, this is Peaceful in the long run.

Love.
