SELF/ GOD REALIZATION

Dear readers,

Today's quote by yogananda is reproduced.

What a quote!!!!!!! can this come from someone who has not realized God? Impossible!

Salutations to Sri yogananda, a realized master!.

In raja yoga techniques, in  few other misunderstood concepts, SELF REALIZATION is taught as something which is experienced in some part of the body by the mind for some time during the yoga.

Here, the Master clarifies and roars that "SELF REALIZATION IS THE KNOWING  WHOLLY, TOTALLY, COMPLETELY, ABSOLUTELY THAT YOUR OMNIPRESENCE IS GOD'S OMNIPRESENCE"

In Bhakti yoga, this state is experienced as atma nivedanam, absolute surrender … ne... merger of  your self  with the supreme God after your ego is totally annihilated!!

In Jnana yoga, this state is attained after a long period of intense  nidhidhyasana/ absorption of Master's teachings/Vedanta teachings pregnant in our shrutis.

The subjective experience/total bliss/ total love is TOTAL at this stage and it is not related to any time, any space, any external environment, any object.

All the experience of bliss/ some inexplicable happening around ajna chakra,  some cool experience in our temple area  In body, some vision of some light during mediation, some unknown bliss , etc., are but a stage in our spiritual progress which we mistake for realization.

When SELF REALIZATION IS ATTAINED.... NE... DISCOVERED WITHIN, then there is no one to experience all the above things, there is no mind to recapture what happened during our meditation, there  are no senses to give you experience in any part of your body/mind.  God is PURNAM or WHOLE, so the Experience of God has also to be WHOLE /PURNAM and not in parts.

There is no one in you, existing any more, as separate from God, in any respect.

Thakur (Ramakrishna paramahamsa) , after the God attainment, used to offer prasad to God and also partake the same prasad himself. He used to offer Arati to God and then offer the same aarti to himself and all these used to happen spontaneously!

This state is exactly described in the above quote as " God's omnipresence and your omnipresence are same, no more different".

You then remain in the world, yet not aware of the world, do all actions in your life, yet unaware of all your actions, you. Everything just happens, you do not think/deliberate even to keep your next step ahead while you walk. You are completely taken over by God consciousness and you verily exist as God!

When the author says the above, it is not to be understood that  the yogi and God are same in all physical and other aspects. While there may be 1000 difference in the appearance of God and yogi, in the back ground, in the history, in the way they talk/walk/exist physically, it is to be clearly understood that THE ESSENCE, THE TATWA, THE INNER LIGHT of both God and the yogi is SAME , as it IS SAME , ONE LIGHT without  a second one.

LOVE
