Dear All,
The above lines might have appeared in the context of one particular situation in Bible / Holy book of christians.
But as you all would have realized by now, any quote of any Master or any incarnation is explained in this post at a level which does not touch any religion and is often beyond all religions.
So, the exposition of most of the quotes would be valid for all beings, of all religions, if they are contemplated internally and intensely.
What has been given as "Name of the Lord" is explained as "Namasmarana" in another religion, but the essence remains the same.
Bhagawan Baba has taken Namasmarana as a Yoga at par with Karma, Jnana, Bhakti, Raja and Ashtanga yogas and has given the name for Namasmarana as "Chitta Shuddhi Yoga", which clears your heart, your mind and all the impressions stored in your mind for several births and renders you clean and pure, worthy enough to offer yourself to Lord.
Constant remembrance of Lord's name is something which is possible 24/7, under all circumstances, in all situations, in all environment, anywhere and everywhere!
It is explained as strong tower in the sense, constant remembrance of name of God protects you from all the attacks of worldly desires, worldly attachments, worldly impressions, all hatred, all fear, all greed, all delusions.
And... YOU ARE SAFE on reaching/taking recourse to this yoga of Namasmarana and thus remain safe from the attacks of all devils as described above.
Love.
Dear All,
ReplyDeleteIn Sai organization, Bhajan singing is the most important and most popular activity which attracts every one, both singer and participants.
In the context of today's post / quote from Bible, the following points are highly relevant for all Bhajan singers and it is the duty of Senior office bearers to convey these points to all singers , new and existing, from time to time.
While expanding and increasing the number of singers is a commendable accomplishment, it carries along with it, the responsibility for the seniors who bring in more and more singers to a centre, to explain , to conduct workshops and to drive home the following points .
1) Bhajan singing, if understood in the context of today's post, is a chitta shuddhi yoga, an activity given to us by our blessed Lord, to purify our hearts and to get rid of our ego.
2) When we sing, not only we throw our voice over mike but we have to sing with such Bhava, such sincere craving for our lord that our purity should spread through our voice/our singing and envelop the hall and all others inside the hall.
3) When we sing " tere dwaar pe mein aaun, mujhe shanti do Bhagwan," 100 others gathered in the hall must get the same Bhava and all gathered must be so immersed that the call to Bhagwan to bless us with peace on reaching Him must be a collective call from the inner most heart of not one singer but all gathered there.
4) If the above point is understood properly, then how careful must the singer be in selecting his/her song, practicing his/her song a 100 times and then on the bhajan day, how much Bhava should he be having to express his/her feelings/devotion to the Lord?
5) Readers, please realize today, Bhajan singing is not an activity in a social gathering, it is the inner most craving for the lord, rendered with utmost bhava, to reach to lord and in that process, to carry all gathered, to the lord.
Thus, this activity of Bhajan singing should not be taken lightly at all.
If we are new to Bhajan singing and are not sure what to sing and want. not to sing, we have to approach the designated co ordinator, ask the co ordinator to select 10 bhajans suiting our voice, our rendering of bhajan and then practice those 10 bhajans to the satisfaction of the co ordinator and continue to sing only those 10 bhajans unless and until the co ordinator says, " you may sing other bhajans now, you have picked up and are singing well now".
A quality required from a singer is to just obey the co ordinator and if the co ordinator says " why don't you change this bhajan", it has to be just obeyed. Co ordinator knows better which bhajan we can sing well and which one we cannot. We are not there to reason out, we have to just obey, not outwardly but we need to accept whole heartedly.
And, the role of the co ordinator is also to take top the role and to be assertive in telling a singer to change his/ her bhajan, if the bhajan is not being rendered properly. It is not that the co ordinator is correcting only that singer, but the responsibility of the co ordinator is to ensure that all the 15 bhajans rendered on the bhajan day should take all the participants to lord. At least, the responsibility must be fulfilled on the practice day. On the bhajan day, it is between the singer and the lord.
Please remember clearly, Bhajan singing should necessarily be taken up as a spiritual sadhana to purify us and to take us more closer to our lord. It is not a mere activity and it is not that any one has voice to speak can render any type of bhajan.
Let us not under mine the value of this sacred activity given by our lord, let us not take singing causally, let us not have the confidence that just because we have voice, we can sing any bhajan!!!
Love
