Sri Sathya Sai Baba

Dear All,

The above quote covers the essence of purushartha, freewill, purpose of birth, use of higher intellect / discrimination, single pointed devotion - all the posts, all the themes covered till now in the blog.

How does  a lotus blossom?? It is born in the pool of dirty water, it sustains in that dirty water!! Still, it opens its petal to receive the sun rays when the sun dawns and with that strength, it blossoms and gives delight to any one who see it.

Thus, we as human, irrespective of the environment in which we are, irrespective of the bad prarabdha we suffer, must open up the petal of our hearts to receive the sunshine of God(love and grace of God) and blossom as a spiritual soul, as God man!!

Most unfortunate thing about human life is that we are so demoralized, so disheartened by the impact of our prarabdha karma, the miseries in our life fetched by us due to our own action in our past lives that when a master walks into our life, when God's call comes to us as sunshine, we keep the petal of our heart closed instead of opening it and receiving the grace of Lord's sunshine.

Love.

Sri Ramana Maharshi

Dear All,

Silence in true sense is silence of Mind.

Silence of speech may be a temporary phenomena as long as silence of mind is not attained permanently.

Silence of mind is adequately covered in the MBCA posts.

When the mind is not moved by the maddening call of the world, when Ego stands annihilated permanently, when the inner silence is not disturbed  by the noise of the entire world's temptations, then the mind has achieved total silence!

How does a Jnani move about in this world, with his mind silenced totally?

The Jnani may be intensely involved in many actions, may it be the administration of his ashram, non-stop discourses, travelling across the globe for spreading  knowledge, teaching his disciple etc.

But his mind is totally stilled as it does not carry the impact of all his actions nor are the actions initiated due to ego. Any action originating from a Jnani is for Loka kalyanam, welfare of the humanity.

This state can only be experienced and can never be known like any other knowledge in this world.

While the body and mind acts intensely, mind is disassociated totally with the actions undertaken by the Jnani. So, internally, the Jnani is stilled, motion less!

He verily exists as God! God creates the universe but has no thought of having created this world and exists ALONE!

This aspect of  God / Jnani's association with the world is a relationless relation, as chinmaya puts it.

Love.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Dear All,

The quote apparently seems to be confusing as it has seemingly contradictory expressions like words and silence, action and deep rest.

The expression suits the existence of a realized Master.

Only a Guru / Master's words / teachings can bring in silence of mind of a sincere disciple.

Only the Master's actions can bring in deep rest in the mind and heart of His disciple.

Only the deep rest of mind, devoid of ego, can help one discover the inner fulfillment / inner Joy!

Love.
